All of us are interested in finding out more about ourselves and others. Our natural curiosity of the world clearly applies to our role in it and the ways we respond to it. DISC is a behavioral model developed by Dr. William Marston in the 1920s intended to identify and categorize how we respond to our environment and each other. The DISC model shows one’s intrinsic behavioral style and one’s learned style. The strength of the model rests not only in its ability to measure and categorize observable behaviors and emotions but also in its capacity to provide the necessary information for each of us to exercise more flexibility with a variety of people and situations.
Our certification course is designed to teach and equip participants to facilitate the CPLE four-hour DISC Overview course. As the four-hour course includes the administration of our DISC 17 Behavioral Self-Assessment, participants in the certification course will learn how to administer the instrument, analyze student results, and provide specific feedback and consultation on student profiles. Participants will demonstrate proficiency providing this feedback in both a one-on-one and class setting. Thus, the course’s purpose of teaching participants how to teach the DISC Overview course will encompass both an exploration into the specificity of the DISC model as well as the tenets and nuances of adult education.
Audience The DISC model is about human connectivity – better communications, lessened conflict, increased tolerance, and greater leadership and influence. While the course is designed to teach those who intend to facilitate the model and assessment with others, the course is of value and interest to anyone looking to better understand themselves and others.
Duration The certification course is a fun but intensive two day program.
Participants will Receive

Costs The CPLE understands most of our participants represent public safety organizations with limited budgets and resources and a strong commitment to a sense of fiscal responsibility to their communities. Our pricing is a fraction of what you find from a host of other certification courses...and we believe we do it better! We organize our classes around two models or a combination of the two.
Model 1 is based on individual registrations. The CPLE and a host agency offer the certification course with open registration. Individual student tuition is $695.00 in this model. * FBI LEEDA members enjoy an additional 10% discount!
Model 2 is the single contract. An organization, association, or local, state, or federal government agency contracts with the CPLE to fund the event. The fixed rate is $645 per student with a minimum of 30 students. Additional materials and facilitators are brought in based on 15 student increments. We've taught DISC classes with 30, 45, 60, and 90 students...we can accommodate whatever student capacity needs you have.
Compare our tuition costs with other companies charging $5,000 per student for two-day courses. We know your budget will be pleased as well as your sense of value with the level of instruction and overall experience you will have.
Individual Registration (Model 1) Space is often limited so we encourage you to pre-register as soon as possible. We've made the process simple and convenient. Email us your interest at DISC17@cpleinternational.org. At your request, we will pre-register you for the event. Once the course has reached the minimum number of attendees, you will receive an email from the CPLE stating the course status has moved from Class - Tentative to Class - Confirmed. You will be asked to submit payment at that time to complete the registration process.
As a nonprofit organization, we prefer checks as opposed to credit/purchase cards to avoid associated fees. However, we understand purchase cards are preferred by many individuals and agencies, which is perfectly acceptable. If you are able to submit payment via check, our mailing address is:
CPLE International 4080 Monticello Avenue Suite 18-1 #126 Williamsburg, Virginia 23188
If you choose to pay via purchase or credit card, please select the Pricing & Registration button below. Our secure, online registration process allows for easy payment. You will receive a confirmation email upon final completion of the registration. * Again, please do not pay by check or card until you have received an email from the CPLE confirming the course status as Class - Confirmed.
